AI Product Builder & Leader

Who I Am

Bradley Hartwick · CD, BEng, rmc, PMP®, PMI-ACP®, CSPO®

Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

I turn ambiguous, high-consequence problems into valuable AI-native products. I work across product, engineering, and design, carrying the work from evidence and product judgment through architecture, code, launch, adoption, and learning.

I find my flow when I have the agency to turn ideas into products, the accountability to carry them through, and a clear line to the value they create for customers.

Three careers, one throughline

Responsibility for the product and the human system around it

My career has moved through three different operating environments. Each taught me that durable outcomes depend on clear judgment, disciplined execution, and responsibility for the people who must carry the work forward.

  1. Canadian Armed Forces

I spent twelve years as a Combat Engineer officer and Combat Diver, leading in high-stakes, high-ambiguity environments where outcomes mattered more than outputs and people were the mission. That experience taught me to create clarity without removing initiative, and to prepare teams to act responsibly when I was not in the room.

  2. KPMG

As a management consultant at KPMG, I worked in complex transformation programs for banks, public agencies, and multinationals. I sharpened my approach to operating models, organization design, and delivery discipline, and learned that a technical answer creates value only when the organization can carry it.

  3. Product

In product, those lessons converge. I lead and build across product, engineering, and design, owning problems from framing through architecture, code, launch, adoption, and operation. The emerging discipline I am pursuing is the product builder who can exercise product judgment and carry that judgment into a working system.

Product philosophy

Judgment meets the build

I love the point where product judgment, customer insight, and engineering come together. That is where hard problems become useful experiences—and where AI gives a hands-on builder extraordinary leverage. I move fast, stay close to the work, and review, evaluate, and debug every step so speed keeps making the product better.

See the system behind the speed in How I Build.

How I lead

Clear direction. Real ownership. Teams that can fly.

I lead with humility, curiosity, and candid conversation. I set a clear destination and guardrails, then give talented people the trust, context, and room to do their best work.

Coaching has been a throughline from the Canadian Armed Forces to KPMG to product leadership. My Rotman Certified Executive Coach training sharpened that practice—helping me ask better questions, build judgment, and help people grow into greater responsibility.

The goal: a team that understands the mission, makes strong decisions, and moves with confidence—even when I’m not in the room.

What I’m building now

Two AI-native products. One builder across the full stack.

At FelixClark, I serve fractionally as Director, Product & Engineering, leading product, engineering, and design while working across go-to-market, operations, and customer success. I’m currently the sole technical owner of two 0-to-1 AI-native product initiatives, taking ambitious ideas from first principles toward working product experiences.

Alongside that work, I’m building Aquilo + Gambit and laying the foundations for a full-product-lifecycle agency focused on responsible AI. It is the kind of work I enjoy most: shaping the opportunity, building the system, and bringing the product to life.
